Upper Swaledale is renowned for its magnificent scenery, dry stone walls, flower-rich hay meadows, moorland birds and wildlife, and is the home of the Swaledale sheep breed. These hardy sheep are largely responsible for shaping and maintaining the dales landscape as we know it today and can be seen grazing throughout the dale.
Pry House faces the fell, surrounded by meadow and pasture, less than half a mile from the source of the river Swale from which this unique dale takes its name.
